The 1985 report A Nation at Risk put public education in the United States on a pathway of accountability, measurement and testing. Christian schools are well positioned to counter this trend and offer a deeper, broader understanding of teaching and schooling and to avoid the mistake of reducing teaching to what can be tested. This workshop will focus on the importance of staying connected to the complex, creative, and compassionate realities of being a teacher.
