Al has been teaching since New Kids on the Block were “new” and Cher was singing “If I Could Turn Back Time.” He has authored Beyond Control: Heart-Centered Classroom Climate and Discipline (2014, Dordt College Press) and several articles on classroom discipline. Al’s writing and seminars focus on the attitudes that drive student behavior.
